Colloids & Materials Chemistry
Colloids and particulate systems have significant impact on a number of industries such as advanced materials, chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food processing etc, as core technology. Particulate science & technology deal with the production, characterization, modification, handling and utilization of a wide variety of particles.

Fluids, containing polymeric and surfactant solutions as well as micron, submicron and nano sized particles are of universal industrial importance due to their unique mechanical properties, their capacity to solubilize and transport materials and their internal microstructures. Engineering of these complex systems open up an emerging discipline that facilitates the production of innovative products. Keeping this in mind, the Colloids & Materials Chemistry Group has been established on May 10 th , 2006 with a core strength of four scientists and one technical officer who have been working in this area for last couple of years.
