Achievements» BIOGAS FROM WASTE VEGETABLES & KITCHEN WASTES
- Application :
Decomposed & spoiled vegetables and kitchen wastes are minced to pulp in a mincing machine. The pulp undergoes for ultra-sound treatment for ten minutes for faster generation of bio-gas before charging to reactor. Otherwise the minced vegetables are charged to bio-gas reactor for generation of biogas. Biogas obtained from specific reactors contains 70-80% methane. The methane rich biogas can be used for clean burning, cooking and heating without smoke and pollution. The biogas is as good as LPG for cooking. Chronic wastes from vegetable market can be converted into clean cooking gas without waste management.
- Raw Materials:
Mild steel angle, sections, electric motor for mincing machine & reactors. Spoiled vegetables & kitchen wastes for biogas generation.
- Process Features:
The spoiled vegetables are minced to pulp bellow 10 mm size in an efficient mincing machine, patented design of IMMT-Bhubaneswar. The pulp is charged to the specific bio-gas reactor. Methane enriched biogas are generated within 30days. 5kg/day decomposed vegetables is sufficient to burn in clean blue flame in any domestic gas burner for one hour for cooking & heating, as good as LPG gas. The spent sludge is mostly gray liquid, which can be re-charged with feed materials to reduce water consumption.
