  1. Application :
    It is a low cost machine used for efficient threshing of paddy (removal of grains from the paddy plants) with reduced labour input and grain loss in crop residue. The Thresher operates by one hp electric motor or diesel engine. It separates paddy grains from the straw completely. Threshing capacity of the machine is 300Kg/hr paddy, compared to 35Kg/hr by manual methods. It is a hold-on type open thresher and cheapest in price.
  2. Raw Materials:
    Mild steel angle, rod and sheet, bearings, V- belt, 1 HP Electric motor/oil engine etc.
  3. Process Features:
    The rotating spikes of the machine remove the grains from the straw when the bundles of ripe paddy plants are shown to the machine. This machine operates by power or manual. It reduces 60% threshing cost and increases 10% yield when compared over the traditional threshing methods.

    100,000 units/year through out India.
  5. Status of Commercialisation:
    Commercialised in India. More than 1, 50,000 machines are disseminated since 1992.
