Dr Pushpito K Ghosh, Director CSMCRI, Bhavnagar and accompanying scientists of CSMCRI were received at IMMT on 23rd October 2007 with the biodiesel run car of CSMCRI. Addressing a press conference on the occasion, Dr Ghosh stressed on the importance of biofuel production from Jatropha plant in the country and highlighted the technology behind extraction of biofuel using CSMCRI know-how. Also speaking on the occasion, Prof. BK Mishra, Director-IMMT said that IMMT is already looking into the agro technology aspect of cultivation of Jatropha and is hopeful of significant contributions in boosting the seed production. Dr M Brahmam and Dr Srikant Sharma, Scientists, coordinated the event.
