Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) has organized IOP-2008 - National Interactive Workshop on Recent Trends in Iron Ore Processing during 16 December 2008 in order to deliberate on various issues and identify R&D opportunities related to iron ore processing and also followed by two days Advanced Course on Communication (ACC-2008) in which 105 delegates from across the country participated. The workshop was focused on issues relating to Waste Utilization and Environment. The purpose was to seek guidance from industry to reorient the mission programme and to draw guidelines for policy makers of effective utilization of country's mineral resource base.
