The Official Language Implementation Committee of RRL Bhubaneswar organized a National Hindi Seminar on Water Resources, Harvesting and Shedding during 7-8 December 2006.

Shri SC Tripathy, IAS, Secretary-cum- Commissioner, Rural Development and Information Technology, Government of Orissa inaugurated the event as Chief Guest. Prof. BK Mishra, Director-RRL, chaired the inaugural function. About 35 delegates from different parts of the country and various organizations attended the seminar. A Hindi Souvenir, compiled and edited by Dr Rajeev, Dr DB Singh and Sh TV Raju, was brought out on this occasion and released by the Chief Guest.    

All together 28 papers were presented in the area of water management in various technical sessions spread across both the days. Research scholars of RRL presented Hindi and Oriya songs and lyrics in the cultural programme arranged in the evening.
