    DESCRIPTION :

    Dr. (Mrs.) Sharmistha Anwar graduated with a Bachelor degree in (2002) and Masters degree (M.Sc.) in Physics (2004) from Devi Ahilya University Indore. Later she joined UGC-DAE- CSR Indore as a JRF for her doctoral work. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Devi Ahilya University, Indore in 2011 for thesis entitled “Structural and electrical characterization of metallic thin films and multilayers. She joined CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar as a scientist in 31st December 2009. Her area of interests include Electron Microscopy, thermoelectric materials, hard coating of multilayers & nanocomposites, swift heavy ion irradiation induced modification in thin films & multilayers etc.

    • Development of Hard/ Super hard nitride & metal based multilayers and nano composite coatings using CVD/PVD techniques.
    • Development of cost effective and non toxic thermoelectric thin film and bulk material and its module designing and development.
    • Development of optical transparent and antiscratch coating using PVD technique.
    • Development of nanocomposite coating using electrodeposition.
    • Detailed Mechanical and Electron microscopy studies of different type of coating.
    • Swift heavy ion irradiation induced modification in thin films and multilayers.
