DESCRIPTION :
Dr. R. Sakthivel, is currently working as Senior Principal Scientist of Advanced Materials Technology Department of CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar. He has completed his B.Sc and M.Sc Chemistry from Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed University), Gandhigram, Tamilnadu, in 1989 and 1991 respectively. He has joined in CSIR-IMMT as Scientist-B in March 1992. He has obtained Ph.D degree in Chemisty from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2004. He has been engaged in Material Characterization department from 1992 to 2009, then moved to Advanced Materials Department at the same institute. He has handled three Grant in-aid projects as principal investigator and he was a team member in several institute projects and externally funded projects. He has guided two Ph.D students and trained six project assistants.His area of interests are Waste to Wealth, Photocatalysis, solid acid catalysis, CO oxidation by nanogold, Ferrites preparations and their characterization.
