DESCRIPTION :
Er. Debidutta Debasish completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a distinction (Gold Medalist) from College of Engineering and Technology, BPUT, Odisha in 2009. He completed his M.Tech in Materials Resources Engineering in 2012 from AcSIR, India. The M.Tech thesis entitled “ Mechanical Characterization and Erosive Wear Analysis of Plasma Sprayed Mo-TiN Composite Coatings” involved the development of ceramic and metal coatings on steel as well as aluminum-silicon materials and carried out mechanical, microstructural, and tribological characterization of the coatings. Presently pursuing PhD under AcSIR. After joining CSIR-IMMT as a Scientist, he was involved in improvement of mechanical properties of coatings through plasma spraying and plasma processing of minerals and materials. He has handled industrial projects with private industries like Tata Steel, Vedanta Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited as well as involving himself in CSIR-800 (Corporate Social Responsibility) tasks for the socio-economic upliftment of rural people. Presently, his work domain includes plasma synthesis of industrial waste to value-added products.
