DESCRIPTION :
Shubhra Bajpai is currently Principal Scientist in Advanced Materials Technology Department at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, India. Earlier, he worked as Scientist Trainee in the same organization for more than two years. He is Master of Technology in Materials Resource Engineering (completed in year 2012, Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), India) and earned his bachelor degree in Material Sciences and Metallurgical Engineering (completed in year 2010, University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET), Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur India). He is quite active in the field of plasma processing of materials and coatings. His research interest is thermal barrier coatings, refectory metal and alloys, and structural and nano-mechanical characterization of materials using AFM, nanoindentation, X-ray Micro-CT and EBSD. His current work is focused on developing the refractory metal coatings for plasma facing components and dispersion strengthened alloys for the components of energy plants.
