DESCRIPTION :
Dr. Sasmita Prusty, Sr. Scientist has obtained her M.Sc. and M.Phil (Geology) in 2005 and 2006 respectively from Utkal University. She pursued her Doctorate degree at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar and was awarded Ph.D. from Utkal University. She qualified UPSC (central geological service) batch 2006 and joined Geological Survey of India, Pune as a Geologist in February 2010. She promoted to Sr. Geologist in 2015 and transferred to GSI, Hyderabad in 2016. She has experience in geological , geochemical mapping, petrographic study of rocks and minerals, composite materials,beach sand heavy mineral, integration of spatial data. She joined IMMT in December 2019 as a Sr. Scientist.
