    • Dr. M.G Sujana is presently working as Scientist-G (Formerly Chief Scientist) in Environment & Sustainability Department of CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar. 
    • Her Area of Expertise:

      Water and wastewater treatment: Fluoride and Arsenic mitigation

      Solid/Liquid Waste Management & Circular Economy;

      Development of nano sorbents for energy and environmental applications

      She has more than 30 years R &D experience, worked in number of Government, Industry and CSIR sponsored projects in the fields of Environmental Chemistry, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Solid Waste Management & Circular Economy. Contributions for strategic sector includes environmental aspects during the process development and solid and liquid waste management. She has published more than 50 technical papers in national and international SCI journals and international symposiums/seminars. Her significant contribution as a principal investigator lead to development of a technology for fluoride problem in drinking water. She is also working as Professor, Faculty of Chemical Sciences at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar for Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) guiding Ph. D and B.Tech., M. Tech., and M.Sc students for their thesis work.

    Metal oxide biopolymer composite beads were developed for Fluoride from groundwater. Materials were tested with different fluoride containing groundwater collected from 3 districts of Odisha and Srikakulam dist., AP and Nalgonda dist., Telangana Under DST (WTI) program. 2022.

    Extraction of Tungsten values from Hutti gold mine tailings concentrate and scrap: process flow sheet development, bench scale studies and pilot scale testing
