    DESCRIPTION :

    Dr. D. R. Satapathy is B. Sc. in Geology Honours with distinction from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack; M. Sc. in Geology (Utkal University), and PGDC & MIS from Utkal University. He joined as Technical Group III (1) at CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur in the year 2000, and was working in the field of application of remote sensing and GIS for various environmental studies especially environmental impact assessment. Subsequently, he has obtained Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in 2008. In April 2009, he joined as Technical Officer at CSIR-IMMT and worked on different projects about environmental monitoring and impact assessment in multiple sectors like port and harbor, mining, etc. He has published many papers in national and international SCI journals.

    • The undersigned is having experience in the field of application of remote sensing and GIS for various environmental studies. The experience is related to monitoring and analysis of the spatial effects of environmental assessment at the landscape scale as well as geological applications in a different environment such as coastal, watersheds, mining, forests, etc., mapping through GIS and spatial statistics, and to understand the resulting change in physical process and visualizing environmental monitoring data. The working knowledge is related to the workmanship in Geographic Information System, and Digital Image Processing, geostatistics, Modeling using GIS (Application of fuzzy logic, multi-index overlay analysis), and the exposure to Global Positioning System applied for environmental impact assessment studies.
