DESCRIPTION :

Sathish R. is an Environmental Scientist working at the interface of basic and applied research for industrial and societal applications. His research focuses on waste management and resource recovery, environmental biotechnology and bioprocessing,  environmental monitoring, analysis, and remediation. He holds an M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli and a B.Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University, Tiruchirappalli. Prior to joining CSIR–IMMT, he served as a Senior Research Fellow in the Environmental Engineering Division at IIT Guwahati, where he worked on resource recovery from solid waste streams. At CSIR–IMMT, he is currently engaged in industrial and societal-oriented projects, specializing in the development of processes and technologies for efficient waste utilization, maximizing resource recovery while minimizing environmental impact.
