DESCRIPTION :
Dr. Benadict Rakesh joined as a Scientist in Hydro & Electrometallurgy Department in September, 2019. He completed his M.Sc in Organic Chemistry from University of Madras in 2010. He carried out his research work at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) and obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Homi Bhabha National Institute in 2016. There he was involved in the development of phosphorous based extractant for monazite ore processing and for the separation of zirconium and hafnium. He joined as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras and worked on tailoring of nanomaterials for solar cells, lithium-ion batteries and thermoelectrics.
