    DESCRIPTION :

    Barsha Marandi completed her BTech in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela in 2012. She completed her Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2014. Thereafter she started her career as a scientist at CSIR-IMMT in Hydro & Electrometallurgy department in December 2015. Her research interests include Electrometallurgy, Electrowashing, Electrochemical Salt Splitting, Purification studies using Ion Exchange Resins. She has been associated with nearly 20 projects which encompasses industrial, strategic, government and CSIR projects. She has been working majorly in the area of Design and upscaling of Electrochemical systems in Extractive Metallurgy. She is also involved in the facility creation of the departmental pilot plant where most of the bench scale and pilot scale testing of several processes have been carried out.
