DESCRIPTION :
Dr. D. Satapathy completed his Bachelors and Masters degree in chemistry from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. He then joined IMMT, Bhubaneswar (formerly known as RRL, Bhubaneswar) as project assistant in the H&EM Department in the year 1996 for few months. He then moved to CFRI, Nagpur centre to join as Technical Gr.III (1) in the year 1997 and was working in the area of different types of coal analysis. Subsequently, he completed his Ph.D. in advanced chemistry in the topic “Optimisation of the recovery processes of metal ions using coal based granular activated carbon” in the year 2004 from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), Nagpur, a premier institute of Maharashtra in the area of Chemical Engineering. He has also worked as a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada in the year 2009-10 for one year. He has published more than 10 research papers in the National and International SCI journals.
