    EXPERIENCE :

    • Dr. SP Das completed his B.Engineering (Metallurgy) in 1993 from NIT Rourkela.
    • Thereafter he worked in Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd.,(IMFA) for more than 10 years in the field of manufacturing of Ferro chrome and Ferro silicon.
    • He joined CSIR-IMMT,Bhubaneswar in 2004 in Mineral Processing Department and is currently working as Principal Scientist in the research and development in the field of beneficiation of low grade and complex minerals.
    • He received his doctoral degree from IIT Kharagpur in the study of comminution process through various diagnostics using sensors in tumbling mills.

    • Beneficiation of low grade and complex minerals.
    • Washing of high ash non coking and coking coal.
    • Recovery of valuables from red mud.
    • Recovery of nickel values from chromite overburden.
    • Study and control of comminution process through vibration signature.
    AWARDS & HONOURS :
    • CSIR Technology Award 2017 by CSIR HQ, New Delhi for Technology for recovery of iron values from low and lean grade iron ore resources.
