    DESCRIPTION :

    Mr Sachida Nnada Sahu joined CSIR-Institute of Mineral & Materials Technology in the year 2012 as Scientist. He received his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang; A Government engineering college under BPUT, Govt. of Odisha. He joined as a Trainee Scientist in CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar in the year 2010 and completed his M.Tech. in 2012 (Material Resource Engineering, AcSIR, New Delhi). He is also the recipient of “CSIR Technology Award-2017” for his contribution towards sustainable utilization of low/lean grade iron ore resources. Apart from this, his scientific contribution towards the development of mineral processing sector, working dedicatedly in solving both fundamental and industrial issues related to different ores and minerals, he got SKOCH ORDER-OF-MERIT Award (as a team member) two times in the year 2015 and 2017. He is working in both ferrous and Non-ferrous minerals in beneficiation field. Sustainable utilization and extraction of mineral values from low/lean grade mineral resources is his area of interest and he has got expertise in this field. He is awarded "MESA -2019, India" for his contribution towards Mineral engineering field. He has worked for the beneficiation of iron ore, chromite ore, bauxite, coal, graphite ore, phosphate ore, nickel laterite ore, lead-zinc ore etc. Recovery of iron values from iron ore beneficiation plant tailings, steel plant waste etc. by utilizing reduction roasting route is his most promising work which is appreciated by many industries. He is the life member of IIChe, IIME, IEI, and SGAT. He is also an invited reviewer for many journals.
